General Profile
- A nosode prepared from tuberculous tissue.
 - Suited to individuals with hereditary tubercular diathesis (family history of tuberculosis, asthma, allergies, chronic infections).
 - Children or adults who are weak, emaciated, delicate, with rapid growth and low vitality.
 
Physical Constitution
- Thin, narrow-chested, with poor resistance.
 - Pale, sickly look, dark rings under eyes.
 - Prone to frequent colds, chest infections, bronchitis, asthma.
 - Craving for milk, cold drinks, smoked meat, fat, sweets.
 - Easily catches cold, especially from a little exposure.
 - Constant change of place seems to help them (desire to travel).
 
Mind Symptoms
- Restless, dissatisfied, changeable in mood and desires.
 - Longing for new experiences, never satisfied with what they have.
 - Irritable, disobedient, destructive children – break things, quarrelsome.
 - Desire to travel, change jobs, change partners – can’t settle.
 - Depression with hopelessness, feels suffocated in closed rooms.
 
Modalities
- Worse: Cold, damp weather, exertion, closed rooms, standing, milk.
 - Better: In open air, dry climate, change of place, motion.
 
Characteristic Symptoms
- Constant desire for change (places, food, habits, relationships).
 - Weak resistance to infection – recurrent fevers, colds, glandular swellings.
 - Night sweats, especially in children.
 - Headaches in school children from mental exertion.
 - Children who are restless, destructive, obstinate, often catch colds, have enlarged tonsils/adenoids.
 - Emaciation despite good appetite.
 
Keynotes
- Tubercular family history.
 - Changeable, restless, dissatisfied disposition.
 - Craving milk but it disagrees.
 - Weak constitution, frequent infections.
 - Improvement from change of climate/place.
 
👉 Tuberculinum is often indicated in chronic, obstinate cases that do not respond to well-chosen remedies, especially when there is a tubercular background.
